I am not a sushi person, but enjoy great dining experiences. This was definitely a fantastic experience. Food was fresh and delicious. Every individual bite was great and the chefs absolutely made it a unique and memorable experience.

So fun! Reserved ahead and anticipated a show. They gave it! I wouldn't go too hungry but go expecting a fun time. Bar tender was amazing!

A dark, moody atmosphere sets the stage, but the experience never feels overly serious. The staff is warm, polished, and genuinely entertaining, striking that rare balance between high-end service and a night that’s actually fun. Emily, our sushi chef, delivered some of the best sushi I’ve ever had — exceptionally fresh, beautifully composed, and executed with precision. An impressive dining experience and easily Cleveland’s standout sushi spot. Definitely will be returning soon.

What an excellent find! We love sushi - have done Nobu in various cities, tried all of the top-tier sushi places in Cleveland, but this is an entirely different level. The chefs were excellent and walked us through every delicious bite. Quite an experience to taste a variety of exquisite menu item, many sushi flavor combinations we’ve never had before. Each bite was unique and expertly prepared. The atmosphere was modern and swanky, but intimate and more of an interactive experience with the chefs at the bar. Highly recommend, will be back!

Sushi By Bou on the sixth floor of the Ritz Carleton Hotel on W. 3rd street behind the Terminal Tower just opened in mid-April 2026. I ordered the shop's signature 12 course omakase. There were only three of us at the 5:00 PM seating on a Tuesday served by a pair of sushi chefs. A review said the course was offered to from four to twelve folks. While I didn't feel rushed, the pace of the offerings was a bit dizzying. The concentrated attention from the chefs was not unwelcome. The chefs professionally described the ingredients and added flavors. I found the seasoning to be a bit salty sometimes making the appreciation of citrus zests and other flavor grace notes a bit challenging. A review described the venue as "dimly lit". I think they do a disservice to the creations by not illuminating the stage where the sushi is presented a bit more. You taste first with your eyes. I will certainly return and hope for a small group for the 5 PM presentation on a weekday. While the sake flight of Heaven brand varieties was entertaining, they have a half dozen or so sake available by the glass or bottle.
